After its presentation at Transpotec, the vehicle arrived in Vado Ligure (SV), at the first public ‘RICARICA charging Station’ in Italy directly connected to a wind farm, where it was presented to a selected audience.

Ugo Salvoni, RICARICA’S Project Manager did the honours, talking about the renewable energy produced by the FERA Group’s wind farms. The same energy that flows into the RICARICA infrastructure for electric vehicles spread across Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Tuscany, Lazio and Sardinia. A demonstration was shown of how Scania’s BEV 45 S A4X2NB is recharged, with the 350 kW RICARICA columns delivering up to 347 kW.

The topic of electric mobility in commercial transport was discussed, and Simone Martinelli, E-mobility & Sustainability Development, and Alberto Iseppi, Head of E-Mobility, Urban and Construction Sales at Scania, presented the latest model, the BEV 45 S A4X2NB, explaining its technical characteristics and commercial possibilities.

The opportunity was given to drive the new truck, accompanied by Ines Kasumovic, eMobility Solutions Manager at Scania, who drove it from Södertälje (Sweden) to Milan (for the test drive at Transpotec) and then on to Vado Ligure.

“After the event in June 2023, when we inaugurated the first public “RICARICA station” in Italy, directly connected to a wind farm, with charging columns of up to 350 kW, for electric trucks and cars,’ said Ugo Salvoni, ‘we are happy to make our 3,000 square metres available to partners like Scania, who, like us at FERA, believe in green electric mobility. With our 350 kW columns we also trying to meet the needs of heavy transport.”
