New RICARICA Infrastructure on the Torino/Savona motorway

The development of RICARICA continues, a FERA Group company (www.gruppofera.it) specialising in state-of-the-art services for sustainable mobility, on Italian motorways.

The successful collaboration with Autogrill continues, which has already seen the activation of HPC (High Power Charging) stations along the A4 Brescia/Padova, at the Limenella Est and Ovest (PD) services, and on the A10 Savona/Ventimiglia, in the Conioli Sud and Castellaro Nord (IM) service areas.

The latest news relates to the A6 Savona/Turin motorway: after activating the station at Carcare Est (SV), two new charging stations, one ultra-fast and one 22 kW AC, are now operational at the Rio Ghidone Ovest (CN) service area, between the Marene and Fossano junction, in the direction of Savona.

The ultra-fast charging station has an output of 120 kW, and is equipped with two connectors capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously. The service is accessible via RFID card, Beagleplug App or directly with a contactless credit/debit card.

According to Motus-E data, more than 313,000 electric vehicles are currently circulating in Italy, with an increase in full electric registrations of +72.94% compared to May 2024,’ comments Ugo Salvoni, Project Manager of RICARICA. – We are still far from the same levels as Northern European countries, but it is crucial to accelerate the growth of infrastructure. At RICARICA we strive every day to actively contribute to an increase in recharging points, especially on the motorway network, which represents the backbone of transport in our country.”

With these new charging facilities, RICARICA is further strengthening its commitment to the transition towards a more sustainable and efficient mode of mobility.
